3.6.18 30 Days Wild #3

Am ddiwrnod!

Mae’r haf wedi cyrraedd yn gynnar eleni. Felly dyma gyfle i fwyta ac eistedd tu fas. Yn yr haul. Yn yr awyr agored. Mi ddaeth tusw o flodau yn addurn i’r bryd tan i nhw droi’n gâs iawn! Mi roedd blodau’r Euphorbia yn tasgu ar hyd y ford. A dyma atgof o wers bioleg arbennig gan WALLY (William Anthony Lewis) yn yr ysgol. Dosbarthu hadau drwy “Gravity, force, animals, water, wind”. A dyma’r ‘grym’ anhygoel wrth i’r hadau dasgu ar hyd y lle i gyd. ‘The force that through the green fuse drives the flower” – (and the seed)

What a beautiful day! A chance to sit outside, enjoy the sun and have alfresco food and drink all day! A bouquet of flowers accompanied our meal – but then it turned aggressive and started attacking us all aka ‘day of the triffids’! The Euphorbia seeds were sent metres by a very explosive seed dispersal mechanism and I remembered a lovely school biology lesson from WALLY (William Anthony Lewis!).   “Gravity, force, animals, water, wind”. And these euphorbia seeds suddenly. packed a forceful punch –  ‘The force that through the green fuse drives the flower” – (and the seed)
